Calvin Williams

Calvin has been with Mountain
Youth Academy since 2008. He started as a Mental Health
Associate and is currently the Director of Quality Assurance
and Risk Manager for the facility. Calvin graduated from
East Tennessee State University in 2008 obtaining a Bachelor
of Business Administration degree with a major in Marketing
Management and a minor in Management. Calvin is a member of
the American Marketing Association and a member of the
Mountain Youth Academy Employee Council. In 2011, Calvin earned his HRPD certification. |

Theresa D. Crotty, LCSW
Director of Clinical Services

Terri earned a Master Degree in
Social Work from Aurora University in Illinois and a
Bachelors Degree from Judson College in Elgin, IL. A Chicago
native, Terri has 31 years of clinical experience including
adolescent and adult residential, adolescent and adult acute
inpatient, community case management, emergency room psych
and military trauma counseling at Fort Campbell. Terri
utilizes EMDR, psychodrama and Neurofeedback in the
treatment of trauma. |

Betty Villarreal
Admissions/Referral Specialist

Betty attended NESTCC majoring
in business administration and computer sciences. Betty has
been in behavioral healthcare since March 2003. She began
her career as a Mental Health Associate and continued to
serve MYA in many capacities; Administrative Assistant,
Accounts Payable, Payroll Clerk, Admissions/Utilization
Review Supervisor, and Utilization Review Coordinator. Betty
maintains good working relationships with numerous state
localities to ensure a timely admission for all referral
sources. |

Corey Jackson
Director of Operations

Corey earned a B.S. in
Rehabilitation Studies from Winston-Salem State University. He
started his tenure at MYA as a Shift Supervisor. He was
promoted to the Director of Quality Assurance/Risk Manager
before his promotion to the Director of Operations. Corey
has experience working with adolescent sex offenders,
developmental disabilities and substance abuse. He is a
certified instructor in Crisis Protection Interventions,
Verbal De-escalation and in Residential Child and Youth Care
Professional. |

Kathy Smith
Director of Human Resources

Kathy serves as the Director of Human Resources, bringing 8 years of organizational service to Mountain Youth Academy in the areas of the Human Resources, Business Office Management, Utilization Review, Medcial Records and Compliance. Kathy has a MBA with an emphasis in Human Resources from Liberty University and a BS in Criminal Justice from Bluefield College. She provides supervision to Human Resource student interns for both Appalachian State and East Tennessee State University. Kathy serves as an Administrative Surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Additionally, Kathy is an adjunct faculty member at Virginia Highlands Community College in Abington, Virginia, where she teaches Legal Aspects Aspects of Health Information Management, and medical coding classes. She has certifications in Human Resources (PHR), Health Care Compliance (CHC), Medical Records Auditing (CPMA) and ICD-9-CM and CPT coding (CPC). She is a Service Excellence facilitator and a trainer for both Verbal De-escalation and Certification of Residential Youth Care Professionals thru the University of Oklahoma training program. |

Jylaine Honaker

Jylaine
has taught in public education for 12 years in special
education and administration. She has been employed with UHS
for over 7 years. She is endorsed in the state of VA and TN
in learning disabilities, emotional disturbance, visually
impaired, and mental retardation. Jylaine earned an MS in
Administration and Supervision a MA as a Reading Specialist
and is trained in Neurofeedback. |

Lisa Potter

Lisa is originally from SchuylKill County, PA. She attended
Penn State University studying Foreign Service and
International Politics. Lisa Brings 15 years of experience
as a Business Office Manager. She joined MYA in April of
2007. |

Paul Kirkham
CEO/Managing Director

Paul has been the CEO/Managing Director at MYA
since December of 2008. Prior to joining the leadership team
at MYA, for the past 25 years he held several leadership
positions in both Indiana and Florida. Paul attended Indiana
State University and obtained a B.S. in Music Education and
M.S. in Counseling. |
