Eric Dunkerly, CEO/Managing Director

Eric’s professional background has encompassed direct care and management experience in residential and acute care programs, primarily in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Eric is most noted for his drive to continuously improve customer care, employee development and program systems operations. Eric has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Administration of Justice and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

Theresa D. Crotty, LCSW, Director of Clinical Services

Terri earned a master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University in Illinois and a bachelor’s degree from Judson College in Elgin, IL. A Chicago native, Terri has more than 31 years of clinical experience including adolescent and adult residential, adolescent and adult acute inpatient, community case management, emergency room psych and military trauma counseling at Fort Campbell. Terri utilizes EMDR, psychodrama and Neurofeedback in the treatment of trauma.

Jylaine Honaker, Director of Education

Jylaine has taught in public education for 12 years in special education and administration. She has been employed with MYA for more than 7 years. She is endorsed in the state of VA and TN in learning disabilities, emotional disturbance, visually impaired, and mental retardation. Jylaine earned an M.S. in Administration and Supervision an M.A. as a Reading Specialist and is trained in Neurofeedback.

Kathy Smith, Director of Human Resources

Kathy brings more than 8 years of organizational service to Mountain Youth Academy. Kathy has an M.B.A. with in Human Resources from Liberty University and a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Bluefield College. She provides supervision to Human Resource student interns for both Appalachian State and East Tennessee State University.

Nancy Lundy, Director of Nursing

Nancy has been with Mountain Youth Academy since November 2008. She began her career at MYA as the Nursing Supervisor and is currently the Director of Nursing. Nancy graduated from Northeast State Technical Community College earning an associate’s degree in Science. She then obtained her Bachelor of Nursing degree from King College.

Koljonna Lewis, Director of Operations

Koljonna Lewis is a graduate of Rutgers University where she obtained her B.A. in African Studies. She is currently attending St. Leo University working toward an M.B.A. She has several years of experience in residential care prior to being employed at MYA. She began her employment at MYA in April 2012.
